Mileage347,589Service Date5/29/2025Services Performed- Scanned engine control module and found codes P0171 and P1074 for lean running engine, code P0420 and P0430 for catalyst efficiency below threshold on both catalysts, P0300 for random misfire and P0449 This code signifies that the computer has detected a problem with the vent valve's ability to allow fresh air to enter the EVAP system and displace fuel vapors. Monitored live data of fuel trims and found long term adding 15% on both banks. Smoke tested intake system and found leak in engine compartment. Removed interior engine cover and found vacuum hose to heater control removed from intake manifold. Replaced hose and replaced engine cover. Monitored live data of fuel trims again and found fuel trims ok at or around zero. While engine cover was off an exhaust leak was observed at rear of left exhaust manifold and rear bolt is broken. Smoke tested evap system and operated vent valve repeatedly with jumper wires for power and ground and found vent valve does not seal or close properly. Recommend replace left exhaust manifold gasket and extract broken bolt. Recommend replace canister vent valve. Please note the actual condition of the catalysts can not be determined unless exhaust is fixed.
